Plan review is charged separately from the permit itself, at 65% of the building permit fee, and any additional review triggered by changes to already-approved plans runs $48 an hour with a half-hour minimum. An application submitted without a named contractor has to prepay the plan-review portion before the city will even accept it — worth knowing before assuming that piece can wait.
