Office & Bathroom Remodel in St. Paul
A warm, multi-purpose lower level designed for entertaining, relaxation, and long-term value.
Project Summary
Our client in St. Paul requested renovations of their office space and bathroom. The rooms’ pain points included storage and general dysfunction, dated faculties and fixtures, and a need for visual updates. Despite the challenges presented in each room, and their difference in functionality, we were able to remodel per the client’s request without serious drawbacks.
Kitchen Remodeler Analysis
The original layout of this kitchen, while spacious, wasn’t initially built for optimal functionality and visual appeal. There was a disjointed atmosphere that interrupted what could have been a cohesive flow from room to room. The kitchen did not provide adequate storage space and needed a facelift.

Bathroom Renovation
The bathroom was updated with Schluter in-floor heat and rectangular tiles (Firenze Carrara Tile) installed along the floor and walls. The tiling had a marble gray finish, matching the tone of the countertops and contrasting the clean, custom cabinets surrounding the new Caldonia vanity.
Office Renovation
The office renovation required all new flooring, custom cabinets, and new countertops. The cabinets were Black Walnut. And the countertops were Tier 5, Rolling Jasmine Quartz which matched well with the hexagonal Carlos Silver tiles. Underneath the tiles, we installed Schluter Ditra-Heat flooring.
Office Challenges
Removal of the original floor revealed asbestos underneath. Remediation and contamination were required.
Bathroom Challenges
The challenge for the bathroom involved a rework of the ventilation system. There were issues with the exhaust fan’s ducts. We installed new venting on the roof and out of the side of the home.
