Step by Step
The same six steps whether it is a single bathroom or a whole-home remodel. What changes between them is how long each step takes — never whether it happens.
You tell us what you want. We tell you what it takes.
Adam or Rick walks the space with you — in your home or over video — and talks through what you want, what the house will allow, and roughly what it costs. If the work runs through an insurance claim, say so on this call: we deal with adjusters regularly, and it changes how the project gets scoped.

Decisions get made before anything is ordered.
Layout, lighting, storage, and how you actually move through the room. Depending on scope that means renderings, a mood board, and product samples — with selections laid out for you online, so choosing finishes doesn't cost you your Saturdays in showrooms. Larger projects get a pre-selection proposal, so the finishes are settled before the contract price is.

A line-item price — and the record of how well we hold it.
You get an itemized estimate covering labor, materials, and a stated contingency, not a lump sum with allowances buried in it. Then we hold it: across our last 254 quoted projects, change orders came to 4.3% of contracted value, and 126 of those jobs finished with none at all. When scope does change, it is a written change order you approve before anyone picks up a tool.

The unglamorous part, handled.
We pull the permits under Minnesota contractor license BC387590 and book inspections in the order your city wants them — which is not the same order everywhere. Lakeville issues its own electrical permits; Richfield sends electrical to the State; Chaska has the State inspector handle the rough-in. If your home predates 1978, the work runs under our EPA Lead-Safe firm certification (NAT-F151615-3): containment, HEPA cleanup, documented. Materials are ordered and confirmed before your start date, not after it.

You always know who is coming, and when.
One project manager owns your schedule. Ahead of each stretch of work you get an update naming who will be at the house, what time to expect them, and what they are doing that day — of everything on this page, it is the part customers write about most. Floors, furniture, and the driveway are protected from day one, and the site is cleaned and secured every evening.

Finished means finished.
We walk the space with you and write down anything that is not right. Punch-list items get scheduled, not deferred. You keep the care instructions, the warranty paperwork, and the same office number you have been calling all along — which is why so many of the reviews on this page come from people on their third or fourth project with us.

The project was completed on time in a seamless, no problems manner. We are extremely happy with the results.
